Human and Pet Health

According to the NIH, numerous studies have shown that chronic exposure of neonics to humans is "particularly alarming.” Neonics are associated with a “wide variety of clinical symptoms in humans, including headache, fatigue, convulsions, abdominal and chest pain, weakness, tremors, respiratory failure or memory loss among others.” It is because of an increasing use of this class of insecticide that high quantities of neonicotinoids are present in all environments (soil, water, and food.)

Effects on Humans

Agriculture & Food

Neonics have been found in the bodies of over 95% of pregnant women tested across the country according to a U. of Illinois study.

Today 100% of non-organic corn seeds are coated with neonics. Pretreated seeds pose the same threats to humans and wildlife as neonics applied to soil.

Pet Health

Many pesticides allowed for use on pets are linked to serious health issues in people, such as cancer and neurological and respiratory problems.
