State Action

In the United States, state governments play an important role in regulating pesticides. States may develop their own regulations that are stricter than the EPA’s federal pesticide regulations. 

 

The current EPA lacks sufficient resources to address harmful neonicotinoids in a timely manner, having completed only 5% of its annual registration reviews. 

 

Meanwhile alarming peer-reviewed studies from USGS, UConn and others demonstrate high rising levels of neonics in Connecticut rivers. Connecticut must take action now.
