Municipal Action

Municipalities in Connecticut have the authority to regulate dangerous pesticides on municipal property to protect the health, safety and welfare of their residents. They are allowed to determine which chemicals they deem more dangerous than the state and/or federal government by implementing their own ordinances, such as Norwalk or Stamford. Municipalities are not only recognizing the health benefits, but the environmental benefits that come with natural landscaping practices.
